Steve Lampi Memorial Bike and Stroll - October 2nd 2011

Brooklyn Park has an important event that I hope everyone who reads this will attend.  If you're unable to, please let me know that you're able to pledge some amount (my bride and I will be participating).  Also below is the PDF for the event.  Download it and share it with your friends and family.  Let's help raise some money for this very special scholarship fund.
The Steve Lampi family would like to invite you to a meaningful event to honor Steve and continue the work he set out to do for the community of Brooklyn Park. Two of Steve’s passions were giving back to the community and supporting youth in the City of Brooklyn Park. Therefore, the Steve Lampi Memorial Scholarship Fund and Brooklyn Park Community Foundation have joined forces to create a signature experience! We will be holding the inaugural Steve Lampi Memorial Bike & Stroll - A Sundae in the Park on Sunday, October 2nd from 1-4 p.m., at the Eidem Homestead – Historical Farm on 101st Avenue North and Noble Avenue North. This energy packed event will include a bicycle ride or stroll to the Coon Rapids Dam, live music, a special program, a visit to the Eidem Homestead - Historical Farm and of course, a Bridgeman’s ice cream social.
It is our hope that you can be a part of the festivities by joining my family and the Brooklyn Park Community Foundation at this fundraising event. Registration fees are $15 for an individual and $30 for a family. You will find registration information at www.brooklynparkcf.org. We encourage you to raise pledges for your ride or stroll. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and there will be prizes for the top fundraisers. Proceeds from the event will be split equally between the Brooklyn Park Community Foundation and the Steve Lampi Scholarship Fund to be given out to community groups or individuals.
We also ask for your help in getting the word out. Please spread the word through your family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, community groups, business associates, Facebook friends or community leaders. We have attached a copy of this letter, a flyer and a mail in registration form for you to use as needed. If you need any more information or have questions about the event, please call me at 763-561-3607 or email me at lampik@comcast.net. or visit the Brooklyn Park Community Foundation website at brooklynparkcf.org and click on the events page.
We truly hope to continue the work Steve began to make Brooklyn Park a thriving community inspiring pride where opportunities exist for all.
